Q: Who need to file a DBA or Fictitious Business Name?
Ans:
Persons who want to start a business other than their own name OR the Corporations, LLC's operating business on other names need to file doing business as statement with County Clerk.

Example: "Jacobsen and Co. Gardening" would require filing doing business as.

Q: When Fictitious Business Name is required?
Ans:
Any person who regularly transacts business for profit, under a fictitious business name, is required to file a fictitious business name statement with the Recorder/County Clerk. Fictitious business names are filed in the same county where the business is located.

Q: What if I have changed address or owner's name?
Ans:
You will need to re-file and re-publish your dba exactly like a new filing.
